World Book Day
A book is a gift you can open again and again – Garrison Keillor.
Gifts???? Most of the answers will be, “Of course- Yes.”
And if I ask – Do you like to read a book? It may have two answers. If it’s “YES” then here is an inspiring day for you and let’s celebrate your day, and if “NO”, then let’s create a habit on this rousing day and make yourself the liveliest person.
A special day of readers, authors, learners, publishers and sellers is ‘World Book Day’, also called as ‘Copywrite Day’. The Book day is the festival that celebrates over 100 countries from all over the world, which is established by UNESCO. The recognition of the World Book Day started before 25 years on 23 April 1995 in the United Kingdom.
An exciting story is hidden in World Book Day. The concept of celebrating books day at the end of April originally came from one of the booksellers in Catalonia, Spain, in 1923. When writer Vicente Clavel Andres wanted to honour fellow author Miguel de Cervantes who died on 23 April. Coincidentally. It is also death anniversary of William Shakespeare.
World Book Day is also for learners of all age groups and generations. The main aim is to promote writing, reading, publishing, and copywriting. You can celebrate it by belonging to any category or being a Book Fanatic. You can live and re-live your life numerous times whenever you read a new Book. When you pick a book to read, you enter into a brand-new world. Books give you a chance to get into and live in the new imaginary world.
This auspicious day inspires you to bring your favourite book and satisfy your thirst for reading. You can discover renowned authors for interesting books. ‘Renowned’ not in the terms of famous but full of intelligent and innovative thoughts, facts, ideas or incidences with engaging story telling or elaborative aspects. You can make your love once a good reader by gifting them a Book as per their zone. Involve yourself in the imaginary world of any story and experience a new story of your life.
